Organic Dried Cranberries
Country of Origin: Canada
Ingredients: organic cranberries, organic concentrated apple juice, organic sunflower oil.
Related to the blueberry, cranberries are a species of dwarf shrub that are made up of trailing vines. Cranberries are rich in nutrients and contain high levels of antioxidants. Cranberries are tart in flavour (hence why they are sweetened with apple juice).
Cranberries are fantastic to acidify the urine and help reduce symptoms of urinary tract infections, however, as the cranberries contain concentrated apple juice, do not consume high amounts for these purposes.
Cranberries have:

• Some vitamin C and beta-carotene

• High amounts of antioxidants

NOTE: As with most dried fruit it is important to increase water intake with consumption. Also, dried fruit in comparison to fresh fruit may have a lower vitamin and mineral content and has a higher concentration of it’s natural sugars.
