I'm definitely not one for cereal and milk in the morning, so with cooler weather on the way a nice alternative to start the day is with a warming breakfast of 'white quinoa porridge.' We make it with coconut milk, banana, cinnamon, vanilla, maca and a little drizzle of raw honey or brown rice syrup and serve it with a sprinkle of chopped almonds, gojis, blueberries, chia seeds and some almond milk. You can make everything the night before so that all you have to do is heat your quinoa porridge in the morning and you and your family are good to go!
PS: we like to make our own almond milk too, but sometimes it's good to have a carton or two in the pantry for when you're running low on time.
